I love this time of year, when the grass is cool and dewy, and I can step outside and connect to the earth. This is a most calming practice, walking where the grass remembers you, taking note of everything that is currently thriving and blossoming. We can be like the zinnias, opening wide to the day, being our beautiful, unique self. There is only one of you in all the multiverse.
Ground into the peace, feel the quiet love that flows up into your heart from the comforting earth. Science tells us that the body absorbs the earth’s charge, reducing inflammation, calming the nervous system, and restoring rhythm. And we inherently know this. We feel it in the hush, the way the breath slows and softens, the way thoughts unclench and facial muscles relax.
She is your altar, your medicine.
This is your Friday morning threshold.
Enjoy a beautiful day, my friends, and don’t forget to bless your house!
This is something I do each Friday: cleaning, incense, invocations, and baking something to scent the house like joy and bounty.
