There is “self-improvement,” and there is remembering and returning to the Self (which is all-oneness). When we seek to self-improve, it’s a sign that we’ve become lost in a sense of separation and forgotten who we really are. The quickest remedy out of this, and to avoid spending potentially decades reading self-development books, is to remember our oneness. In oneness, there is no need to self-improve. We see that we are each a unique facet of the whole.
How does knowing our wholeness improve our state of being? For me, personally, coming to this realization has freed up a lot of mental space! Furthermore, my heart is at peace, and I know that I am loved and valued as a unique aspect of the collective.
This is a game-changer when it comes to goal-setting for 2025. It’s a game-changer because I already know that I will not be competing with anyone else in any way, shape or form. I will only be working with others to elevate the LOVE in my community.
Remembering our worth isn’t just a perception-changer; it’s a life-changer. There is nobody to impress. There is nobody whose approval is necessary for us to feel that we’re worthy of their company. (Note the separation of us and them, of you and me. Note to self: exercise true expression.) We are enough exactly as we are, and we have some aspect of our uniqueness to contribute to the whole.
As we approach a New Year, what is on your mind in the way of goals? I’d like to suggest that self-improving be replaced with whole-self-loving, doing everything with a bigger picture in mind, and knowing the why behind everything. Some people suggest asking why over and over to get as deep and close to truth as possible. When you reach it, you’ll know it!
For me (and for most people), it’s a feeling. The underlying desire is always joy, fulfillment, peace, etc. We can notice that the lighter the feeling gets, the closer we are to having fallen back into the I Am Presence. Peace and serenity, love, nonjudgment: these are at the heart of who we are. (Déjà vu! I’ll just leave this here.)
When we know who we are, we see the greater picture and wish to be a part of it. That said, some of my goals (plans) for 2025 are:
My son and I will become regular volunteers in our community.
We will travel with a sole purpose of connecting with loved ones.
We will continue to focus on our healing home (longevity support).
We will amp up our efforts in the garden for higher yields.
We will eat healthy and exercise…
So we may (hopefully) live long, because we know our worth.
Remember, we are not just small, singular, separate human-beings. We share the same consciousness: the same mind, the same heart, the same instincts. Knowing this opens us up to empathy and we merge into the ocean of all-oneness. We know what matters. We “get things done.” We live with purpose and clarity when we remember who we are.
Happy Goal-Setting!
